Colossians 2:1-7
In a world overflowing with information yet starving for truth, it’s easy to become spiritually malnourished. Every moment, voices clamor for attention—opinions, headlines, social media, and algorithms all compete to shape what we believe. Amid this noise, true wisdom is not discovered in the latest trends or clever arguments, but in a life rooted in Christ. Spiritual strength comes from knowing Him, not from accumulating facts or following popular opinion.
The Apostle Paul understood this danger all too well. His heart ached for believers led astray by subtle distortions of the gospel, those seduced by persuasive words that veiled truth. He longed for their hearts to be strengthened, united in love, and firmly anchored in God’s Word. Just as a shepherd guards the flock, Paul urged followers of Christ to cling to divine truth, knowing it alone protects against deception and builds enduring faith.
In our age of “infobesity,” we often accumulate knowledge without understanding, facts without wisdom. But Christ is the ultimate source of insight, the storehouse of all wisdom and knowledge. When we are deeply rooted in Him, we are not shaken by arguments, trends, or emotional appeals. Instead, we stand firm, built up like a temple of truth, overflowing with gratitude. The more we know Him, the clearer it becomes that He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. How deeply are we anchoring ourselves in Him today, so that His wisdom shapes every choice and every thought?
