1 Corinthians 15:12-19
Paul confronts one of the most vital truths of the Christian faith: the resurrection of Christ. This event is far more than comforting imagery—it is the foundation upon which all hope, faith, and gospel proclamation rests. Without the resurrection, our beliefs lose their meaning, our preaching becomes empty, and our hope fades. But because Jesus rose from the dead, life, death, and eternity are transformed, offering every believer assurance of victory over sin and death.
From the earliest Scripture, God’s people longed for this promise. Job, centuries before Christ, declared, “Yet in my flesh I shall see God,” expressing a faith that found its ultimate fulfillment in the resurrection. Paul reminds us that this is not a metaphor or a myth—it is a historical and spiritual reality that guarantees eternal life for those who belong to Christ. Believers are promised glorified bodies, prepared for heaven, while rejection of Christ leads to accountability before God. Death is not the end, but a passage to eternal life or judgment.
In a culture often skeptical of the supernatural, the resurrection stands as undeniable proof of Christ’s divinity and His triumph over sin, death, and hell. Jesus is our Archegos—the forerunner who conquered the grave and paved the way for our eternal inheritance. Because He lives, we too shall live. How does the reality of Christ’s resurrection shape the way you live today? Are we letting this cornerstone truth guide our faith, hope, and daily walk with God?
