Acts 20:17-24
Paul stands as a powerful example of a life lived with urgency, humility, and unwavering devotion. Speaking to the elders of the Ephesian church, he reflects on the fleeting nature of time and the eternal weight of every moment. Our lives are measured not by the years we have, but by faithfulness in the moments entrusted to us. Time is a gift given equally to all, yet the way we invest it determines the lasting impact of our lives and the legacy of our witness for Christ.
Reflecting on years of tireless ministry, Paul recounts a life poured out in humility, tears, and trials. He never sought ease or popularity, but faithfully declared the whole counsel of God, knowing that every word of Scripture is divinely inspired and eternally profitable. His mission was marked by conviction, not comfort — to testify of repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to all who would listen. Even in the face of impending suffering and imprisonment, his resolve remained steadfast, driven not by fear but by faithfulness to God’s calling.
This message challenges each of us to consider how we spend our time. Every minute is an opportunity to glorify Christ, proclaim His Word, and serve others with love. Like Paul, may we live with purpose, run our race with endurance, and finish well, testifying boldly to the grace of God. How will you use the moments God has given you to leave an eternal mark for His kingdom?
