Genesis 1:1-5
Before time, matter, or light existed, God was. In Genesis 1, we stand at the threshold of eternity and witness the awe-inspiring moment when the Creator spoke the universe into being. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” From nothing, He brought everything into existence—the stars, the oceans, the very light itself—by the power of His word.
This message reveals a foundational truth: all life begins and ends with God. Every detail of creation, from the smallest blade of grass to the vast expanse of the cosmos, testifies to His intentional design and sustaining power. Life is not accidental; it is crafted and preserved by the Creator, whose wisdom and authority are beyond measure. Philosophical puzzles and human speculation pale before the clarity of divine revelation.
Even today, many reject or distort the truth of Genesis, ignoring the accountability and purpose embedded in God’s creation. Yet Scripture affirms that Jesus Christ—the eternal Word—was present at creation, through whom all things were made and in whom all things hold together. Creation is more than a scientific matter; it is an invitation to worship. Every sunrise reminds us that the same voice that said, “Let there be light,” still calls to us today, offering life, renewal, and awe-filled devotion. How does recognizing God as the Creator transform the way you see your life and the world around you?
