Matthew 28:11-15
Matthew 28:11–15 reminds us that truth cannot be buried. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most powerful event in history—so undeniable that even His enemies could not escape its reality. The soldiers guarding the tomb witnessed an earthquake, an angel’s descent, and the stone rolled away by divine authority. They saw what no human had ever seen before—an empty tomb that once held the body of the Son of God.
Yet rather than confess the truth, the chief priests chose deception. Hardened hearts often fear the light because it exposes sin and hypocrisy. Instead of bowing in worship, they conspired in secret, bribed witnesses, and spread lies to protect their own authority. But no lie, no matter how carefully constructed, can suppress the truth of the risen Christ. Even their false testimony—that the disciples stole the body—unintentionally confirmed the reality of the empty tomb.
This story exposes the depths of human rebellion and the persistence of divine truth. The world still attempts to bury the resurrection beneath skepticism, science, or self-reliance. Yet every false theory crumbles before the living reality of Christ. He has risen, and because He lives, eternity is no longer a mystery but a promise. The grave could not hold Him, and no cover-up can conceal Him. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—our risen Savior who opens the gates of heaven to all who believe.
