Zechariah 12:1-14
In Zechariah 12:1–14, a profound vision unfolds — a glimpse of the end times when nations rise against Jerusalem and the Lord Himself intervenes. This message, “The Right Stone,” points to Jesus Christ, the Stone once rejected by men, now revealed as the cornerstone of salvation. Just as a building cannot stand without a solid foundation, no life can endure apart from Him. When He returns, the rejected Stone will be exalted, and all eyes will behold the One they pierced.
Through vivid prophetic imagery, Zechariah portrays the coming battle, the trembling of nations, and the mourning that leads hearts to repentance. God promises to pour out His Spirit of grace and supplication, drawing His people to recognize their sin and finally embrace the Messiah they once denied. Even amid judgment, mercy shines — the God who formed the heavens and the human spirit offers redemption to all who turn to Christ in faith.
This passage is not only a prophecy for Israel’s future but also a call to each of us today: to abandon unbelief, to repent, and to anchor our lives on the Right Stone. Christ alone is the unshakable foundation, the source of hope, salvation, and eternal stability. Building on Him ensures our lives withstand the trials and storms of this world.
Reflect on your own foundation: are you building on shifting ground, or on the Right Stone? How might embracing Christ as your cornerstone transform the way you live today?
