Acts 22:1-16
Acts 22:1–16 presents the dramatic transformation of Saul of Tarsus into the Apostle Paul. Once a fierce persecutor of Christ’s followers, Saul becomes the greatest missionary of the very faith he sought to destroy. This passage reminds us that no heart is too hardened, no past too dark, and no life beyond the reach of Christ’s redeeming power.
Bruised, chained, and facing a hostile crowd, Paul speaks with calm conviction and unwavering love. His testimony is not one of perfection, but of grace. The glory of Christ pierced his blindness — both physical and spiritual — bringing him into the radiant light of truth. “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” shattered his pride and redirected his purpose. From that moment, the hunter became the herald, and the persecutor became the preacher.
Living “to the extreme” for Christ means surrendering fully, trusting His call, and allowing His will to reshape every part of our story. Like Paul, we are invited to rise from the ashes, leave behind compromise, and walk boldly in the light of our Savior’s victory. How might your life change if you allowed God’s grace to rewrite your story, no matter how far you’ve fallen?
