Romans 15:14-21
Romans 15 reminds us of a sobering truth: as followers of Christ, we are not volunteers—we are under orders. Paul writes to the believers in Rome with warmth and conviction, showing that his ministry was not born from personal ambition, but from divine appointment. Chosen by God, strengthened by the Spirit, and compelled by grace, Paul viewed his mission as a sacred calling, a duty to proclaim the gospel where Christ was not yet known.
We, too, are called to live under this same authority. We are ambassadors in God’s kingdom, entrusted with the holy work of sharing His truth. Every act of love, every word spoken in integrity, every life lived faithfully becomes an offering of worship. Imperfect people become vessels of transformation when we remember that it is Christ working through us, not our own strength, that changes hearts and brings light into darkness.
The world is still waiting. Countless hearts have never heard the message of salvation, countless lives have yet to encounter the light of Christ. Paul’s words echo through the centuries, reminding us that the assignment is not finished. Our calling is clear: to go, to love, to speak, and to live for the glory of the One who sent us. How might we respond today to the command that shapes every step of our lives?
