Acts 28:1-16
Acts 28:1–16 marks the close of one chapter and the start of another, as the Apostle Paul reaches Rome after storms, shipwreck, imprisonment, and opposition. Through every challenge, God’s sovereignty remains unshaken. His plans are never delayed, never derailed, and never defeated. What He ordains, He accomplishes perfectly and on time, reminding us that no obstacle can thwart the work of His hand.
On the island of Malta, Paul experiences the kindness of strangers, divine healing, and opportunities to display Christ’s power. From the viper that appeared on his hand to the miracle that healed Publius’ father, every event points to God’s purpose. Even pagan hearts sensed that something greater was at work—a love and power beyond human understanding. God transformed shipwreck into sanctuary, strangers into allies, and a prisoner into a messenger of hope, revealing that His plans extend far beyond our perspective.
As Paul steps onto Roman soil, his journey symbolizes the unstoppable advance of the gospel. Empires rise and fall, kingdoms fade, but the Church that Christ builds endures forever. From an upper room in Jerusalem to the heart of the ancient world, every trial, every storm, and every mile testifies to God’s faithfulness. Though the book of Acts concludes here, the story of God’s Church continues in the lives of believers who proclaim Christ today. When God is writing the story, every ending is only the beginning. How is God using your life to continue the unstoppable work of His kingdom?
